Tatyana Titova (Dogileva), a 40-year-old teacher, ran into debt, trying to save her mother. Her neighbor advised her to lease a mobile minibakery stall but it got stolen. Tatyana sells her flat and moves to her niece Sveta (Poladko) but the girls boyfriend Grisha (Kurochka) steals all Tanyas money. She finds a position of a cleaner in a shop where she can sleep on a folding bed in the store-room. Quite by chance she comes across Anton (Khristenko), businessman Rusakovs son (Belyaev), when the boy is getting into trouble with weed dealers. It is the boys rebellion against his farther who after his wifes death brought cunning young girl Alina (Borunova) to their house. Rusakov who is thankful to Tatyana for his son offers her to stay with them and help Anton with his studies but Alina accuses Tatyana of robbery, forcing her to leave. The homeless man Kolya (Feklistov) helps Tatyana as once she was kind to him and gave some food. Rusakov understands that he was wrong, he turns out Alina and starts searching for Tatyana. He and his son find Tatyana and Kolya, Rusakov hires Kolya as his gardener and as for Tanya (see the fairy tale Cinderella).
