The life of Dmitry Kratkov (Sergey Makovetsky), a middle-aged unacknowledged writer, leaves much to be desired. His wife Alisa (Elena Panova) leaves him to be with a more successful man, his arts council refuses to accept his play. The only place where he feels at home is his land site for summer cottage on which there is no cottage yet. Dmitry gets drunk and decides to visit his neighbor but he finds out that now Natalya Adrianova (Alena Babenko), a lonely and independent woman, is living there. She is a psychologist specialized in love spell. First clumsy and ridiculous Kratkov disgusts Natalya but step by step various circumstances such as unwelcome visits of her patients, the assault of drunken ruffians and Alisas arrival bring them closer to each other and discover her female traits of character. And they fall in love with each other...
