The North Pole has always attracted the researches but at all times it was extremely difficult to reach this hot destination due to the severe Arctic climate. In the 21st century children start on a polar expedition! A group of talented Russian kids gets a unique opportunity to make a march from a polar station to the North Pole. The expedition is headed by Matvey Shparo, a well-known Arctic explorer. 30 years ago this route was laid out by Matvey’s father, famous adventurer Dmitry Shparo. His group also consisted of seven teammates who were the first to ski from Russian shores to the Pole! Kids were strictly selected for this extraordinary expedition just like astronauts: they must be clever, quick-witted, tough and good-tempered. So, there are seven of them and they have seven days of journey across the Arctic Ocean. NTV reporter Alexey Egorov travelled the whole way with the group of young and courageous Arctic explorers. He will tell about this unforgettable journey in his new documentary “Arctic. Fire.”
