When she died, her funeral ceremony could have been compared to those paid to Egyptian pharaohs. Evita Peron, the Argentinean presidentís wife, was Latin Americaís most loved and most hated woman. To preserve Evitaís body imperishable, it was embalmed according to the ancient recipe. Whatís more, five dummy bodies of Evita were made to mislead those for whom she was the symbol of good old Argentina. The body of the Princess of the Poor was doomed to wanderings throughout the world until it had found its final rest, while the location of her grave had been one of the major secrets of the countryís authorities. Only twelve years after, her body was repatriated. She was buried at a depth of eight meters, while the vault over her grave was equipped with one of the most reliable alarm system to avoid illicit exhumation. Dmitry Kharitonovís film explains the extraordinary popularity of Evita Peron and tells about the incredible events that occurred after her death.
